TS34 Breathes Life Into the Music

I’ve been chasing great sound since 1978, when I got my very first stereo. Over the decades, I’ve listened to countless amplifiers whether solid state or hybrids, always looking for that one piece of gear that could truly bring my music to life. With the Galion TS34, I’ve finally found it.

The TS34 gave me everything I’ve ever wanted from my music listening sessions: clarity, warmth, emotional engagement, and a sense of presence that feels truly alive. Whether I’m playing records or streaming, the TS34 pulls me in. It doesn’t just play music - it lets me feel it: I have a live performance in my room, every time. The soundstage is expansive, the midrange rich and nuanced, and the highs are detailed without ever being harsh. It’s as if the TS34 understands what music is supposed to sound like.

Equally impressive is the experience of working with Thomas, the founder of Galion. His passion for audio and dedication to his customers are unmatched. He was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and generous with his time. Every question I had - whether technical or philosophical - was met with prompt, helpful feedback. It’s rare these days to find that kind of personal connection in a company.

After nearly five decades of listening, experimenting, and upgrading, I can say with confidence: the TS34 is the closest I’ve ever come to my ideal sound. It’s a revelation.

An excellent balance between price and quality

I was listening to the Galion TS34 and I am so happy with it. Even though it didn’t pass the break-in period, the sound quality is great. Detail, dimensionality, voice, and attack are features that I recognize in this amplifier. I was afraid about low-frequency performance, but it has more than enough torque in the bass, in my opinion.
The sound profile selector and the tone adjustment give a useful tool to improve the sound on those records that don’t have the best quality.
The instructions in the manual to bias and change the mode are very detailed and clear, making it easy to do without any difficulty.
As a tube amplifier, I expected to have a heater on in summer, but I was wrong. The heat dissipated, especially by the tubes, is perfectly manageable. I have a side-open audio deck.
The solid construction of the cabinet is a feature that we don’t see these days.
My conclusion is that the Galion TS34 is an excellent balance between price and quality, with the bonus of an unusual adaptability to satisfy the “test” of most of the audiophiles.

    An Overwhelming Experience

Yesterday afternoon, my favorite UPS driver pulled up and she had a dolly with a large box on it. I had to stop I think for a moment. I didn't order anything recently and then it dawned on me, It's my TS34 being delivered. Later that evening I unpacked it put the tubes in configured the speakers (bipoled Klipsch Forte IV) and took it out of standby then let it warm up for a good while before I started to stream.

For some reason, Spotify had defaulted to a jazz channel and I'm not a big jazz fan, but the sound produced by the TS34 was phenomenal with jazz. I swear I could even hear the springs on the bottom of the snare drum. Needless to say I'll be listening to more jazz. I also noticed an increased size of my sound stage. The next few days are going to be spent tweaking the speaker position and discovering my favorite listening preferences with the TS34 as it is breaking- in.

This is my first tube amplifier, and I spent quite a long time investigating different brands and their requirements. I definitely wanted a self biasing amplifier. I didn't want to search for a screwdriver every time I changed from class a to ab. Besides the convenience of being self biasing, and as I said the increased sound stage the big surprise was the richness in sound reproduction from the TS34. My Forte IV's, (depending on the recording), can after a short time, create listening, fatigue, and to be quite frank, make my ears want to bleed, but I found that the TS34 tamed the Klipsch.

Thomas, thank you for developing the TS34 and bringing it to the market.

    Splendid Performance

A deal at twice the price! Tubes included sound fine. Upgraded tubes to NOS Mullard 12ax7(UK) and BRIMAR yellow T 6060 for 12ax7. Beautiful industrial design, wide and deep soundstage when the music is there, and surprisingly dynamic. A keeper for sure.
