On paper, the Victoria delivers just 0.25W for headphones, yet in our tests it effortlessly drove even notoriously demanding models without breaking a sweat. When paired with speakers, its 4W output might also surprise you—capable of filling an average-sized room. For the best performance, we recommend speakers rated at 91dB sensitivity or higher and listening levels around 75dB for a balanced, musical experience.

Victoria Gallery

Absolutely amazing.

The Victoria is my first tube amp - I also own the TS-A75 SS amp (which I adore) and other SS amps from IOTAVX and Cambridge. I've found NO NEED for a subwoofer with this low-power tube amp, and it drives a pair of HECO Aurora 1000 towers, KEF Q Meta BS, and Emotiva XB2 speakers (the latter 4-ohm, mid-80s sensitivity) remarkably well, though my favorite pairing is with the Fritz Carbon 7 SE MKII.
This amp is an ideal entry into low-power tube sound, and I LOVE IT. I'm considering the purchase of a higher power tube amp now that I wasn't before. There's something to be said for the refined sound without any loss in detail or dynamics. And did I mention the BASS is remarkable without a sub?!
As far as a headphone amp goes, I can't imagine anything better. I have cans from Audeze, Dan Clark, Focal, Sennheiser, and Meze, as well as multiple Schiit Audio Class A components I use regularly (the Vali 3 not included), but the Victoria has been a go-to for a delectable sound that simply eludes the other equipment. It is also warm, but never hot in my experience - even after hours of continuous use.
I'd say this is a fantastic entry point into the tube domain - excellent build, outstanding hybrid performance, as cost-efficient as it gets, and a no-brainer for anyone seeking a seriously seductive headphone amp that is quite competent with many passive speakers as well (at reasonable volumes, of course).
Thomas was very communicative with my order, answered emails when I didn't expect, and accommodated a secondary Ray Tubes order at the same time. Shipping from CA (and I'm in CA) was very quick too.
I'd have no hesitancy whatsoever purchasing other Galion products as funds and space allow - I have my eye on that TS120 SE now :)

The Galion Victoria is what Thomas says it is. I like the sound and am very pleased with the amp. I purchased a number of Galion cables as well. And I like the way they sound, and I will be keeping them as well. I believe that Galion produces quality products at a fair price. And in the future. I will not hesitate to buy more.

Sweet Music

I’ve been listening to the Victoria amplifier for almost seven days. Here are my impressions. The setup I’ve been using * Audirvana Studio 3.0.1 on a Mac Studio, Sequoia 15.7.5 * Denafrips Pontus II DAC (using a mid-level Decware power cord) * Victoria with stock Mullards (using a Galion P200 power cord) * Sennheiser HD 800 headphones The Victoria setup is smooth with a pronounced and inviting midrange. The lower mids and bass are present and grounded. The overall presentation tilts slightly toward the mid-to-bass region. The system is very easy to listen to. I can listen for hours without fatigue. There is a kind of roundedness to the sound—notes feel connected and detailed. I have been listening only through headphones, and that likely plays a role in how detail presents itself. Using headphones brings forward subtle textures—small mechanical and physical sounds in recordings—without making them distracting. A good example is the track “If You Could Read My Mind” from the album “Songs from Isolation” by A. A. Williams. It’s a sparse recording—voice and piano, recorded in a home setting. With the Victoria, the piano mechanism is the soft chuffing of the sustain pedal, the physicality of the instrument. These sounds sit forward enough to be clearly heard, but they don’t overwhelm the music. They feel like part of the performance rather than artifacts. This is to my taste. The human voice is rendered with realism. Breathing, mouth sounds, and other small details are audible, but they don’t intrude. They contribute to a sense of presence. What stands out most is how the Victoria presents music as a whole. It offers a cohesive sound—everything seems to belong together. Music feels natural and unforced—like something unfolding. The character of the amplifier with the stock Mullard tubes is smooth, rounded, sweet, and rich. The tone is generous, especially in the instruments and voices feel fully formed. The dynamics are good—there’s no sense of compression or sluggishness. I suspect that changing the Mullard EL84s for Cryotones could shift the balance—perhaps introducing more extension or edge—but there’s something compelling about the current presentation. It favors musicality over analysis without sacrificing clarity. Overall, the Victoria provides a listening experience that is smooth, engaging, and easy to live with. It invites long sessions and rewards attention without demanding it. It sounds like music.

Love at first listen

I love the Victoria. Thomas has created another masterpiece of versatility (drives my headphones and high-efficiency speakers) and performance (great sound) at any price. I'm just a dude who loves music and tube/valve gear. -- The best part: you don't have to wait years to get your hands on it.
