When we set out to design an affordable amplifier for Galion last year, our mission was clear: to create something so extraordinary it would leave the world in awe. And then, the TS A75 burst onto the scene—surprising everyone, racking up awards, and quickly establishing itself as a true giant killer in the HiFi world.
But here’s the catch: to truly unleash the TS A75’s full potential, it needs a top-notch preamp. After months of rigorous testing, we found that the TS A75 truly shines when paired with preamps priced above $4,000. That got us thinking—could we build an affordable preamp that could keep up with the TS A75?
So, Galion teamed up once again with Doge Audio to craft a preamp that will impress just as much as the TS A75 did. Our goal? To once again wow the HIFI world—without breaking the bank.

Instruments and Vocals Have Way More Depth and Subtlety

I have had the TS P75 preamp for about a week. The sound of my system has improved substantially. A lot more of the songs go from decent to great. I noticed the most change though in the subtle details such as the decaying sound of a cymbal sounding more real. The same goes for drums, piano, or the sound of a guitar pick sliding along a string. I went back to my old setup and picked Bob Dylan's Sarah. The new setup with the TS P75 sounds more real.

My current higher end DAC has a built in analog preamp that I have heard cannot be removed. I discovered that contrary to what is usually recommended, the sound quality went up substantially if I increased the preamp volume and decreased the volume to listening levels in the software. I am moving to a class D amp with 10 times the power and realized that my volume adjustments would become more extreme. I have also heard that tube pre-amps are typically best for class D amps.

So, I took the chance with the TS P75. I turned up the preamp in my DAC to the volume that is supposed to eliminate the gain and act as much like a strait wire as I could obtain; I was worried that that built-in preamp still in the signal path it would destroy the benefits of the TS P75. I turned the software volume up to 100%. Now, I have great sound and I can control the volume just with my remote; the sound is much better than what I could accomplish with the volume tweaks. The remote is also heavy and machined out a solid piece of aluminum, so it can serve a secondary role as a personal protection device.

Great combo with audiophile sound

I purchased the P75 with the A75 after seeing multiple YouTubers reviewing them, and I'm very happy with the sound of my new equipment! I've never owned $5k equipment, so I can't speak to the "punching up" aspect of the Galions, with which the Tubers were obsessed. This is solid equipment with great sound, and with the added ability to tune the sound by rolling tubes, all for ~$3,300 for both the pre-amp and amp. This is affordable audiophile hifi, and brought life back to my speakers (Paradigm 75Fs) without hurting my ears. The bass is tight and fully present and changes with different tubes (I tried the Mullard 12AT7s), and the voice is front and center, with a beautiful timbre. The sound stage is vey deep, and I'm hearing things like a bow being pulled across the strings of a bass violin in ways I haven't heard before; hearing Tom Waits keeping time by tapping his foot on Ol' 55. NOTE: Don't be afraid to move your speakers and change toe-in to find the sweet spot. Kudos and thanks to Thomas for achieving the goal of affordable audiophile sound!

Lives Up to the Hype

First, I just want to echo Bill McF's review and his assessment. I too have a TS A75. I've have now let my TS P75 play for 30 hours as Thomas suggested, and the sound is waaay better than expected. I have by speakers located on the same wall as my bedroom door where my stereo is located. I was watching TV in my living room letting my stereo run (first seven hours) when I walked in my bedroom for a second to grab something. I just opened the door, and I stopped dead in my tracks. The projection of the sound was at least three feet farther into the room than I ever heard at the normal low volume I have my stereo playing when I burn in new equipment. I trust Thomas and Loic that this preamp will pair well with a variety of amps, but I can only give my endorsement with the TS A75. It truly is a match made in heaven. The combo sounds much better than some of my friends' gear that is close to double the price. If your DAC is lean sounding ( I have a Eversolo DMP-A6 master edition) don't worry, the very subtle warmth and soundstage of the A75/P75 pairing compliments the clinical nature of many delta sigma DACs. You get the best of both worlds. I was thinking about buying new speakers, but probably not now. I have reached audio nirvana already.

TS P75 - Tube heaven

Just received my TS P75 yesterday and have been busy testing out its performance. This is the 3rd unit from Galion - started with the Voyage TL speakers, bought the TS A75 and snapped up the TS P75 as soon as it was launched. Thomas, if you decide to produce a DAC or floor standing speakers count me in!!

Not much more to add to what Thomas has been expressing in his video - 3D soundstage, Bass, Mid-range are all as promised. It really brings out the best from the TS A75, and the tubes really work their magic...

I received this 5 days ago to. pair with my TS A75 . I am a every day golfer but since this TS P75 arrived I have not left the house This combo has me under house arrest ! True story , but seriously this is as advertised. Now I can just listen to and enjoy the music and not thinking about upgrades anymore. Thankyou Thomas for what you do !
