Introducing the new TS34 Tube Integrated amp

Building on the success of the Galion TS120 integrated amplifier, we have leveraged our insights to develop and refine a new tube-integrated amplifier featuring EL34 tubes. The EL34 tubes offer a distinct sonic profile compared to the KT88 tubes used in the TS120.
In essence, the TS34 is a lively, happy, and "faster"-sounding amp. Think of the TS120 as a sports car, the TS34 would be an agile go-kart.

Optimized for EL34 tubes

EL34 vacuum tubes are renowned for their warm, rich midrange and smooth high-frequency response. They produce a sound often characterized as "musical" or "organic," with a subtle emphasis on even-order harmonics that many audiophiles find appealing.

Dynamic and powerful

Despite its modest 25W Class A rating, the TS34 amplifier, equipped with a robust transformer, confidently drives most speakers on the market with precision and control. What sets the TS34 apart from other EL34-based amplifiers is its ability to deliver powerful, fast, and agile bass. Unlike many EL34-based designs that primarily emphasize on the midrange only, the TS34 offers exceptional performance across the entire frequency spectrum, providing an impressive and well-balanced sonic experience. The bass is not only stronger than many similarly priced solid-state amplifiers, it is also fast and nuanced.

Exotic capacitors

The TS34 amplifier underwent meticulous voicing to enhance its midrange vocal performance. For version 2, we have upgraded the Jupiter Bumblebee capacitors to Jupiter VitaminQ capacitors. The VitaminQ capacitors are renowned for giving more lushness to the midrange, resulting in a more engaging and smooth midrange that allows you to listen to these amps for hours without fatigue. Clarity capacitors from England and Solen capacitors from France were carefully selected and implemented to achieve a specific sound profile. The combination of these high-quality components results in a detailed top-end, forward and lust midrange and robust, fast bass response. This thoughtful selection and implementation of capacitors demonstrate the TS34's commitment to delivering a superior audio experience.

Class A or AB

The TS34 amplifier features patented technology that allows users to switch between high-current Class A mode and high-wattage Class AB mode. This sets it apart from most amplifiers on the market, which typically offer only triode or ultra-linear modes. In Class A mode, the amplifier delivers a linear and extremely clear midrange, characteristic of Class A amplifiers. In Class AB mode, it provides more power, resulting in a more authoritative bass response.

3D soundstage

One of the primary advantages of selecting a full-tube integrated amplifier over a hybrid or solid-state alternative is to experience enhanced three-dimensional sound staging. In this regard, the TS34 delivers impressive performance, producing a remarkably spacious, layered, and extremely 3D holographic soundstage.

Not all tone controls are the same

The Galion TS34 was engineered with a "music first" philosophy, prioritizing the enjoyment of your entire music collection, regardless of recording quality. Unlike conventional tone controls that adjust higher frequency ranges in the 10 kHz, the TS34's innovative tone control was specifically designed to target and minimize sibilance. This unique feature sets the TS34 apart, allowing listeners to enhance their audio experience across a wide range of recordings by precisely addressing this common audio issue.

Support for EL34 and KT88 tubes

While the TS34 has been optimized for EL34 tubes, it has also been engineered to accommodate KT88 tubes, offering users an alternative sonic experience. The plate voltage of the TS34 has been carefully calibrated to ensure optimal performance for EL34 while still allowing KT88 tubes to shine should one decide to experience KT88 tubes.

Auto bias without compromising sound quality

By pressing a few buttons, the TS34 will automatically bias itself using a microprocessor. This process has been designed to be exceptionally user-friendly without compromising sound quality. To ensure maximum fidelity, the auto-bias circuit of the TS34 is entirely isolated from the signal path. While it was possible to design the auto-bias feature to be fully automatic, we prioritized sound quality over convenience. We believe our current solution offers the optimal balance between ease of use and superior sound quality.

An Overwhelming Experience

Yesterday afternoon, my favorite UPS driver pulled up and she had a dolly with a large box on it. I had to stop I think for a moment. I didn't order anything recently and then it dawned on me, It's my TS34 being delivered. Later that evening I unpacked it put the tubes in configured the speakers (bipoled Klipsch Forte IV) and took it out of standby then let it warm up for a good while before I started to stream.

For some reason, Spotify had defaulted to a jazz channel and I'm not a big jazz fan, but the sound produced by the TS34 was phenomenal with jazz. I swear I could even hear the springs on the bottom of the snare drum. Needless to say I'll be listening to more jazz. I also noticed an increased size of my sound stage. The next few days are going to be spent tweaking the speaker position and discovering my favorite listening preferences with the TS34 as it is breaking- in.

This is my first tube amplifier, and I spent quite a long time investigating different brands and their requirements. I definitely wanted a self biasing amplifier. I didn't want to search for a screwdriver every time I changed from class a to ab. Besides the convenience of being self biasing, and as I said the increased sound stage the big surprise was the richness in sound reproduction from the TS34. My Forte IV's, (depending on the recording), can after a short time, create listening, fatigue, and to be quite frank, make my ears want to bleed, but I found that the TS34 tamed the Klipsch.

Thomas, thank you for developing the TS34 and bringing it to the market.

Splendid Performance

A deal at twice the price! Tubes included sound fine. Upgraded tubes to NOS Mullard 12ax7(UK) and BRIMAR yellow T 6060 for 12ax7. Beautiful industrial design, wide and deep soundstage when the music is there, and surprisingly dynamic. A keeper for sure.

Wow, Just what I was looking for!

Satisfied and happy new owner of the Galion TS34, my second tube amplifier. I enjoy tweaking my system and find the Galion unique in its ability to modify its sound utilizing both class and sound profile. I’m happy with the way I could improve its synergy with my existing components as well as accommodate records of varying sound quality. My music system includes a Fluance RT85N turntable with Nagaoka MP110 cartridge; a Vincent PHO701 phono stage; Klipsch RP600M speakers; and a HSU VTF2 MK5 powered subwoofer. The TS34 replaced an american made B&K 105 wpc solid state amplifier. So about 30 hours in, I’m enjoying Class A for acoustic performances and vocals and Class AB for rock and electric instruments. I mostly engage the T sound profile with base slightly bumped and treble slightly cut to smooth out the in room response of my Klipschs. What immediately caught my attention with the TS34 was a significantly wider and deeper soundstage over my previous solid state amp. The clarity of individual instruments and “air” around vocals is also quite impressive. At the same time I did not lose any of that 105 watts of solid state bass! I initially found the Galion a bit bright vs my B&K but as it warms up and more hours accumulate on the stock tubes, it has becoming nicely balanced. Although overall I prefer class AB, T profile for older records, and I find new quality, high fidelity pressings of acoustic and jazz performances sound spectacular with maximum detail, air and soundstage in class A with profile A. Overly bright, or sibilant recordings can be tamed with the treble control, and lean bass in older recordings can be brought out with the base control. All in all a very impressive piece of kit. Great job on Thomas’ part voicing this very versatile amp. It’s got fast, punchy and powerful bass; clear, realistic midrange and sparkling highs in a very holographic deep and wide soundstage, all at the same time!

TS34 Awesome

I’ve been an avid Audiophile for over 40 years and always used solid state Amplifiers. Ive seen the excellent reviews on YouTube by Thomas and other such luminaries, and took the plunge, somewhat reluctantly, my current solid state Amp cost three times more.
I needn’t have worried , I’ve only had the TS34 a day and WOW! Thomas recommends 300 hour burn in but straight out of the box this thing is amazing. The EL34 tubes do provide a superb midrange that the TS34 presents amazingly. The width and depth of the 3D soundstage is fantastic. The bass is powerful and concise, instruments are easy to pick out in the holographic imagery. But the voices are the highlight for me, forward in presentation, clear and sounding so realistic, beautiful.
The Amp is built like a tank, but very well made and shipped very securely and quick. The biasing is quick and easy and there are plenty of inputs. My Denafrips CD transport has been transformed, the sound is liquid and analogue like yet retaining the detail. Vinyl playback is transformed, I have never heard the transparency, detail and especially the voices sound so good.
Do I regret selling my solid state Amplifier that cost 3 times more, no way! Thomas intimated in one of his videos that this could be an end game Amp for some, having owned many over the years, this certainly is the case for me.
The TS34 is majestic and a real bargain at the price.
